TETRAGON has been a protagonist for decades in the fields of exhibition architecture, design, culture, tourism and the creative industry.
Its dynamic course is reflected in the numerous projects it has successfully implemented throughout Greece and abroad, as well as in the relationships of trust it has developed with many important public and private companies.
Today, with vision and extroversion, the company widens the range of its activities, it expands into new fields, and it invests in human resources and know-how, in productive and strategic synergies, in modern equipment, facilities and infrastructure. Thus, it is able to propose, plan, direct and execute everything related to a project, from the initial conception to the final result.
TETRAGON is a member of the ECSITE European Network of Science Centers and Museums, the Hellenic-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the global network of OCTANORM (OSPI-OCTANORM SERVICE PARTNER INTERNATIONAL). It has quality assurance systems according to ELOT EN ISO 9001:2015 and 14001:2015, ELOT ISO 1435:2009 and ISO IEC 27001:2013 standards.
The company’s human resources amount to 30 people and its departments are staffed by architects, museologists-museographers, designers, graphic artists, programmers, historians, archaeologists, decorators, technical and administrative staff, with high scientific training, know-how and experience. TETRAGON top executives are active members of the International Council of Museums (ICOM-International Council of Museums), while people from the company repeatedly participate in domestic and international conferences with presentations and announcements, in publications, in research groups and competitions.
TETRAGON’s activities and projects combine Architecture, Design, Innovation and Communication. More specifically, the company specializes in the following areas:
- Consulting, planning and construction of cultural spaces, museums, and infrastructures for the environment.
- Research, design and development of innovative products, digital and interactive applications, audiovisual productions, methodologies, services, and technologies for the documentation, highlighting and promotion of cultural heritage, contemporary culture and tourism.
- Planning and implementation of exhibitions, exhibition spaces and events, for institutions, organizations and companies, in Greece and abroad.
- Curation and implementation of complex applications of identity, communicative presence and visibility, with an emphasis on the use of new audiovisual media.
TETRAGON’s interests and pursuits include, among others:
- Application of the most modern architectural, museological and museographic solutions, practices and concepts.
- Research and assimilation of cutting-edge technologies and their integration into innovative services and products.
- Cooperation with specialized scientists and creators, the synergies with companies and research and innovation bodies, the reinforcement and support of businesses, professionals and institutions active in the areas of culture, tourism and creative industries.
- Extroversion and expansion in foreign markets, while continuing an already successful course inside the country.
To date, TETRAGON has:
- undertaken the study and implementation of a large number of museums and exhibitions of various organizations (archaeological and historical museums, permanent and travelling cultural exhibitions).
- undertaken the editing and production of important travelling cultural exhibitions in Greece and abroad, such as the exhibition “AIGAION – The birth of an Archipelago” (in Greece, USA, Russia and Italy) and the exhibition “IDEA – Ancient Greek Science and Technology” (in Greece and Slovenia).
- developed, in a series of museums and other projects, a large number of audiovisual, interactive and digital applications and products, with an emphasis on new technologies and innovation.
- designed and built a series of infrastructures for the interpretation and promotion of nature and the environment, such as natural history museums, information centers, leisure and public service infrastructures, networks of markers in urban and natural environments, urban and artistic interventions and installations.
- designed and implemented a number of exhibitions and exhibition events in Greece and abroad, for bodies and companies of the public and private sector, such as E.O.T., ENTERPRISE GREECE, K.O.T., the Ministry of PO., Attiko Metro, D.E.H, OTE etc.
- designed pilot projects of national scope, such as the “Jewelry in the sand” program, which aimed at the aesthetic upgrade of the removable and transportable light constructions of the beaches of Greece, including special infrastructures for disabled people accessibility to the sea.
- undertaken the tourism promotion and promotion in Greece and abroad of the Regions of Thessaly, Northern Aegean, Eastern Macedonia-Thrace and Attica.
- successfully participated, from 2013 to 2015, in an operational program “Human Resource Development” of the General Secretariat of Research and Technology to strengthen the employment of research personnel in companies, developing new, innovative products and adding value to new and existing cultural infrastructures.
- undertaken, within the framework of Actions of National Scope (“Research-Create-Innovate”, “Bilateral and Multilateral Greek-German S&T Cooperation”, “Open Innovation in Culture”) and in collaboration with Greek research centers and universities, as well as with other companies, the implementation of ten research projects aimed at developing innovative applications for culture and tourism.
- created, in collaboration with the companies UNISYSTEMS and MOBICS, MUSEOTEK (https://museotek.net), an innovative digital platform and application that allows remote and real-time school tours of museums and cultural sites throughout the country.
been coordinating, in collaboration with the Development MAJORITY OF THESSALONIKI A.E., public bodies and other businesses, the establishment and operation of the INNOVATIVE DESIGN CLUSTER, a Collaborative Innovation Formation that focuses on the specialized design and its utilization for the creation of innovative products and services. - participated in the TECHNOPOLIS ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE CLUSTER, an innovative collaborative formation for the promotion of Artificial Intelligence technologies and applications in a strategic sector for Thessaloniki, the Region of Central Macedonia and Greece.
- been organizing, through the Cultural Urban Non-Profit Society PHILARTIA, the Thessaloniki Design Week (https://thessalonikidesignweek.gr/).
- participated in the organization and support of BIENNALE THESSALONIKI in the years 2011, 2013 and 2015, as a partner of INTEREXPO Ltd. and HELEXPRO S.A. who had undertaken the respective projects.
